Arsenal, under the management of Arsene Wenger, managed to claw their way to the title after being completely out of the championship race before Christmas. In winning the double in style, the 'Gunners' may finally have lost their 'Boring, Boring Arsenal' tag, thanks to Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Viera, Emmanuel Petit, Nicholas Anelka and Marc Overmars. All the highlights are included here, alongside interviews with Petit, Vieira and Wenger.

In Frances Stark's Cat Videos 1999 - 2002, the artist's cats are featured playing and lounging in her apartment. The videos are a result of Stark being inspired by the visual pleasure of watching her cats and the way their movement changed her perception of her domestic surroundings. By utilizing the soundtrack of one diegetic song per video, the life of the domestic cat - which usually involves no plans or action - is framed, and then elevated as a work of art. The videos, produced pre-Youtube in 1999-2002, predict our current extensive consumption and emotional responses to online cat videos, and unintentionally explore the rise of rapid attention span as a response to current technologies.

The 1997 Formula One World Championship was without doubt fantastic. This was also the season when the pathetic Lola team tried to enter Formula One. the drivers being Italian Vincenso Sospiri and Brazillian Ricardo Rosset. But the team didn't enter F1 at all and the new Stewart team was the last team. But forget that. let's move onto the exciting battle between Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve. This will bring back memories of the fierce battles between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost, like the Hill v Schumacher battle in 1994 brought some memories. The season started with a bang when McLaren's David Coulthard won an Australian thriller. Then Villeneuve won but Schumacher started to fight back with a win in torrential rain. But then disaster struck. Gianni Morbidelli. replacing his dropped countryman Nicola Larini at the Sauber team, broke an arm in a testing accident and Olivier Panis broke both of his legs in a massive accident at the Canadian GP that stopped the race.

Orphée aux Enfers, Offenbach's riotous parody of the dissipations of French life in the Second Empire, fairly gallops past in this 1997 Herbert Wernicke production staged at the Theatre de la Monnaie in Brussels. Based on Offenbach's meatier second version (1874) of the Orpheus legend, it features nicely judged performances across the board and some stunning special effects, notably the explosive locomotive crash signalling the breach of the divide between Heaven and Hell. Satire reigns, not least in the reactionary figure of Public Opinion, a pinny-clad bossy boots with a hint of Dame Edna Everage about her. Olympus is a moribund salon full of bored Gods, sick of the Ambrosian diet.
